Hertford to Luton

North-east of Hatfield lies the water-powered flour mill at Mill Green. There has been a mill on this site straggling the River Lea for over 1,000 years and parts of the the current mill date back to the 17th century. The mill ceased operating in 1911 and was restored to working condition in the 1980s. It is still in regular use and the adjoining mill house is now a museum.
